Pharmacist Clinical - Oncology Float

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora

Department: UCH Amb HOPD Pharmacy

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks), Hours vary between 5:30am - 10:30pm

Shift: Rotating

Pay: $50.76 - $76.14 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

The position being posted will be a full-time float position, within the Metro Denver Region, and will support our Oncology service areas:

  • UCH inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology (1st and 2nd shifts) - Aurora, CO

  • Anschutz Cancer Pavilion Pharmacy (ACP) - Aurora, CO

  • Cherry Creek Medical Center Pharmacy (CCMC) - Denver, CO

  • Highlands Ranch Medical Center Pharmacy (HRMC) - Highlands Ranch, CO

  • Lone Tree Medical Center Pharmacy (LTMC) - Lone Tree, CO

  • Central Park Infusion Center Pharmacy (CPIC) - Denver, CO

We are looking for a flexible, motivated, enthusiastic, person to join our amazing team. Hours and location will be varied, however the shifts for these areas fall between 0530 and 2230, with the majority being day shifts. Given the nature of the work, an Oncology / Infusion Clinical / Operational background is preferred, but we are certainly willing to train the right person.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.

  • State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.

  • Prefer Oncology/Infusion experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication regimens to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual medication-related problems.

  • Provides patient care by initiating, modifying, and monitoring medication therapy through approved mechanisms that may include therapeutic interchange, collaborative practice agreement, or other strategies.

  • Provides drug information and education to medical professionals, students, and patients.

  • Collaborates with care team to develop, implement and evaluate medication management quality improvement efforts.

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
