Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Although precise needs will vary by type and scale of change, example activities may include (but will not be limited to):

  • Identifying (or developing) and applying a structured change framework and/or methodology to change management activities

  • Building relationships with stakeholders

  • Facilitating meetings

  • Evaluating the scope and potential impact of proposed changes

  • Developing change management strategies

  • Consulting and coaching project teams

  • Supporting communication, training, and evaluation efforts

  • Assessing and ensuring user readiness

  • In concert with project manager(s), assessing and mitigating risk

  • Defining and tracking measures of change success

  • Supporting enterprise change management efforts

  • Supporting and engaging senior leaders and executive sponsors

  • Providing reports and updates to leaders, project team members, and other stakeholders as necessary

  • Integrating change management activities into project plans

  • Anticipating change resistance and developing strategies to foster adoption

  • Coordinating and aligning with project manager(s) and executive sponsors to ensure project success

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

  • 3 or more years of professional experience managing medium- to large-scale changes at complex organizations.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of professional change or project management experience.

  • PMP, Prosci, Scrum, and/or Lean Six Sigma certification.

  • Experience working in (or familiarity with) any of the following: higher education, hospital systems, research administration.

  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Smartsheets, ClickUp, Monday.com, Asana, Microsoft Project, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Outstanding time management skills

  • Strong ability to manage multiple competing tasks, and to prioritize projects of varying scope and complexity

  • Technically savvy and able to quickly learn systems and software programs

  • Skilled at motivating others, fostering engagement, and generating buy-in

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Outstanding customer service skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks an experienced Change Manager to serve on its Campus Strategy team. Housed under Administration & Finance, Campus Strategy supports high-level projects identified as key institutional priorities by the campus community (via the strategic plan), as well as by the Chancellor and the senior leadership team. This position represents an exciting opportunity to shepherd a variety of high-impact initiatives at the campus from the ideation phase through design and implementation. The role will act as a resource and change management SME to support critical elements of the campus's strategic planning process.

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Campus Strategy touches each of the four mission areas at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus: education, research, patient care, and community engagement. As a change manager, you will be working with leaders across each of these areas, as well as in central operations (e.g., human resources, information technology, institutional research, etc.). The hiring range for this position has been established as $65,610 - $83,456. The above salary range () represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
