MaineGeneral Health Lead Therapist (Speech Language Pathologist)- Glenridge Memory Care in Augusta, Maine

Job Summary: Glenridge (Memory Care) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech Therapist to act as a lead for our rehab team in our memory care facility.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision: Experienced SLP to lead full rehab team of our memory care facility by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of clinical job responsibilities.

  • Policy Development: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure best practices.

  • Mentorship: Provide mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback to team members, facilitating professional growth and clinical excellence.

  • Role Modeling: Serve as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, cooperation, and a patient-centered approach to care.

  • Complex Issue Management: Handle and provide guidance on complex clinical issues, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

  • Treatment Implementation: Implement treatment plans using appropriate modalities, tailored to individual patient needs.

  • Documentation: Accurately document subjective, objective, assessment findings and plans, as well as patient progress, in a timely manner.

  • Clinical Responsibilities: Perform the responsibilities of a Speech Therapist as needed, maintaining a high standard of care.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Maine State Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required.

  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.

  • Basic Life Support: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification preferred.

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting, with demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
