MaineGeneral Health Educator - Early Childhood Education in Augusta, Maine

Job Summary:Plan, develop, care and implements programs and activities for infants through preschool aged children.

The role involves aiding in the implementation of the curriculum and maintaining an environment suitable for child development. The candidate will provide care for each child's physical needs with warmth and impartiality. They will carry out pre-planned activities that align with the principles of developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood programs catering to children from six weeks to 5.5 years old. The role includes ensuring continuous supervision of all children and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly space for them.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.- At least one year of childcare experience is preferred.- The ability to connect effectively with children and their families.- A genuine passion for working with children.

Requirements:

  • State of Maine fingerprinting clearance.- Preferably one year of experience in Early Childhood Education.- Prior leadership or management experience is an advantage.- Strong skills in teamwork, communication, and collaboration.- Demonstrated ability in critical thinking.
