We are offering an exciting opportunity in Augusta, Georgia for a Sr. Accountant. This role is an integral part of the team, where you will be responsible for processing and maintaining accurate financial records, as well as resolving any accounting inquiries that arise.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and reconcile account transactions

• Maintain a well-organized and precise record of financial data

• Manage and conduct balance sheet reconciliations

• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure financial transparency

• Oversee the general ledger and ensure its accuracy

• Prepare and post detailed journal entries

• Proficiently use Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Ensure the month-end close processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner

• Monitor government funding related to capital funds

• Participate in the auditing process of housing authorities.

Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation

• Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Proficient in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management

• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures
