This a Full-Time position, based on site at our Head Office, located conveniently in the heart of the Commercial Bay precinct in Downtown Auckland.

What your day will look like

The purpose of your role as an HR Advisor is to provide operational people advisory support to our people leaders on people, process, and HR technology. As a key member of the NZ HR Connect team and the wider NZ People Organisation team you support the delivery of annual people lifecycle activities.

Some of your responsibilities will include,

  • Providing generalist guidance and support to our leaders and colleagues within a specific portfolio

  • Partner with Centres of Excellence and the NZ People Partner to delivery the annual lifecycle activities

  • Supporting our people leaders with employment relation matters

  • Contribute to the delivery of the NZ People Team strategic and operational plan

  • Assist with, provide support and coach our leaders on resourcing and headcount

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • You will need to be degree qualified in a related field, and have demonstrated ability in a generalist role

  • Experienced in general human resource processes and practices, with experience in handling ER matters

  • A sound understanding of New Zealand employment legislation and the capacity to develop, interpret and apply relevant employment legislation

  • Have a high level of problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • We’re a Workday environment, so experience working with an enterprise HRIS would be ideal
