UL, LLC Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Auburn Hills, Michigan

This is an onsite role requiring 5 days per week in our Auburn Hills, MI location.

  • Management of samples from receiving to dispatch dispositioning using database software and basic Microsoft programs such as MS Word and Excel.

  • Ensure samples are managed within quality process and in compliance with according the UL Quality and accreditation process requirements.

  • Communicate and guide internal customers on sample return via phone and email.

  • Check conformance between delivery and shipping tickets, check for damage or defects and update databases. Distributes client samples, materials and supplies to appropriate personnel.

  • Use UL packing procedures and equipment and in conformance with established foreign and domestic shipping services, marks labels, tags or stencils for identification, weighs and/or measures packages and transports items to the shipping area.

  • May also be responsible for maintenance of the warehouse.

  • Maintain an organized, safe, clean and productive work area.

  • Conduct periodic inventories of sample storage areas.

  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2+ years of shipping/receiving, inventory, or warehouse experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs assisted.
