ASRC Federal Holding Company Systems Tester in Atlantic City, New Jersey
ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking an NWP Systems Tester to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This role will make an impact by meeting the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data across networks in the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide 2 nd level engineering support for the NextGen Weather Processor
Use project requirements to develop test plans and procedures to test system functionality, performance and reliability
Execute test cases and develop test reports. Provide clear and concise documentation
Identify and document defects, bugs and inconsistencies during test execution
Participate in system test and key site test activities as a tester
Support system development/testing/integration/deployment activities for NWP
Review and comment on system engineering documents; system requirement documents; system testing documents, system testing documents
Attend system design reviews; technical interchange meetings; any other meetings as requested to support program and team
Develop and manage system engineering artifacts; system requirements artifacts; system testing artifacts; required product baseline artifacts.
Able to support software applications in Linux environments
May be tasked to support other systems within AJW-171
Works independently with minimal supervision.
Provides expertise in software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation, and maintenance of complex computer systems.
Experience with software programming in the languages used for NAS and NAS support systems which may include but not limited to languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, XML and SQL.
Provides expertise in the development and improvement of software development processes.
Must be familiar with interfacing databases to client-side interfaces.
Familiarity with object-oriented programming techniques, client/server development, cross-browser development, and Unix/Linux skills maybe required.
May need to work with specialists from other disciplines such as hardware, software, logistic support, and testing to produce fully integrated and responsive components and systems.
Interprets and analyzes complex information systems data to develop technical documentation, system diagrams, and presentation materials

Must be willing to travel. On call for site support.

Requirements :
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and seven (7) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field OR Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and five (5) years related work experience in a computer science or math field
Experience in performing system testing including issue documentation, troubleshooting, test procedure creation, and test report generation
Possess a technical understanding of systems; databases; networking; computing environments; virtualization
Proficient technical writing and oral communication skills
Preferred
Interprets and analyzes complex information systems data to develop technical documentation, system diagrams
Experience in software and Operating System (OS) testing
Working knowledge of Linux and various scripting languages
Analytical and problem-solving ability
Knowledge of Aviation Weather Products
