Job Description Summary
The Product Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support for our Gas Power customers on GE Vernova-supplied equipment, including the gas turbine package, engine and auxiliary systems. In this role you will provide technical assistance related to installation & commissioning (I&C) of new units (gas turbine package / engine / generator and accessories) in the North American (NAM) region. As needed, you will assist in complex investigations for field events during I&C. This role also supports the operating Aero fleet in the NAM region.

Roles and Responsibilities
Support installation and commissioning (I&C) of new units, Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics, and fleet configuration. Maintenance of fleet data, I&C management.
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Off-Hour availability and some travel time may be required.
Perform site event analyses to determine root cause and corrective actions / preventative actions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or technical degree with 3 years equivalent field experience with gas turbines).
Minimum of 2 years of gas turbine technology experience.
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Previous working experience with GE Aeroderivative Gas Turbine engine, package or controls systems.
Working knowledge of mechanical / electrical systems, oil systems, fuel systems, water systems, generators, controls systems or other auxiliary equipment.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings (one line diagrams, controls logic, schematics, P&ID, etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot assembly related issues and / or gas turbine package operational issues.
Experience leading projects involving multi-disciplinary teams.
Comfort with interacting with customers, in person, answering technical questions.
Demonstrated team player.

Rôles et responsabilités
Assurer l’assistance technique lors de l'installation et de la mise en service (I&C) de nouvelles unités, pour la surveillance et le diagnostic à distance et pour la configuration de la flotte ; gérer les données relatives à la flotte, gérer les I&C
Acquérir des connaissances approfondies dans un domaine technique ; utiliser ses précédentes expériences et l’expertise technique acquise pour mener à bien la politique/stratégie adoptée
Comprendre parfaitement les principaux moteurs opérationnels et utiliser son expertise pour accomplir son propre travail ; comprendre parfaitement la façon dont le travail de sa propre équipe s’intègre à celui des autres équipes et contribue aux objectifs de la branche
Faire preuve d'une certaine part d'initiative et se montrer capable de proposer des solutions différentes sortant du champ d’action initial tout en étant encadré(e) ; exploiter ses expériences précédentes et sa formation sur le terrain pour exécuter des tâches simples ; exploiter les compétences techniques et l’esprit d’analyse nécessaires pour résoudre les problèmes ; utiliser, si nécessaire, plusieurs sources internes en dehors de sa propre équipe pour aboutir à des décisions
Se rendre disponible en dehors des heures de bureau ; temps de trajet à prévoir
Analyser les événements sur site pour identifier leur cause première et les actions correctives/préventives à entreprendre
Qualifications requises
Bac +3 dans une université ou un établissement d'enseignement supérieur agréé(e) (ou diplôme dans un domaine technique avec 3 années d'expérience de terrain équivalente dans le domaine des turbines à gaz).Diplôme Universitaire requis en Ingénierie préférablement
Au moins 2 ans d'expérience de la technologie des turbines à gaz
Bilinguisme essentiel : English/French
Qualifications souhaitées
Excellentes compétences de communication, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit
Capacité avérée à analyser et à résoudre les problèmes
Expérience professionnelle antérieure des moteurs, des groupes ou des systèmes de contrôle des turbines à gaz aérodérivées de GE
Connaissance pratique des systèmes mécaniques/électriques, des circuits d'huile, des circuits de combustible, des circuits d'eau, des alternateurs, des systèmes de contrôle ou d'autres équipements auxiliaires
Capacité à lire et comprendre les dessins techniques (schémas unifilaires, logique des systèmes de contrôle, schémas, P&ID, etc.)
Capacité à résoudre les problèmes d'assemblage et/ou les problèmes opérationnels des groupes turbines à gaz
Expérience dans la conduite de projets impliquant des équipes pluridisciplinaires
Capacité à interagir directement avec les clients pour répondre aux questions techniques

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $85,600.00 - 142,600.00 USD Annual.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
