Newell Brands Sourcing Manager, Transportation in Atlanta, Georgia

Overview

As the Manager of Transportation Procurement, you will be responsible for developing and executing the category strategy for LTL, Truckload, Intermodal, and Flatbed transportation modes for North America and supporting LATAM. Expectations will be to manage the Strategic Supplier Management Program, along with Carrier Management, Carrier Vetting, and Freight Forecasts. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the carrier network, reduce costs, and ensure service excellence.

Responsibilities

· Create departmental plans and execute the category strategy along with running Strategic Sourcing Events

· Manage the Strategic Supplier Management Program, including contract negotiations, performance reviews, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Own the Carrier Management process, including carrier selection, qualification, onboarding, and compliance.

· Manage the Carrier Vetting process, ensuring that all carriers meet the company's safety, quality, and sustainability standards.

· Responsible for the Freight Forecasts, including budgeting and variance analysis.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as Global Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance, to optimize the transportation network, reduce costs, and ensure service excellence.

· Monitor and report on the transportation market trends, risks, and opportunities.

· Drive innovation and best practices in the transportation procurement function.

· Partner with COE to ensure Coupa procurement tool is functioning at highest levels to support all Strategic Sourcing Events for this category

· Collaborate with LATAM Procurement/D&T Teams to create and execute strategy for Intra-LATAM and work to establish similar process/guidelines/scorecards for carriers in that region

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation procurement, preferably in a multi-modal and multi-regional environment.

· Strong knowledge of transportation modes, markets, and regulations.

· Proven track record of delivering cost savings, service improvements, and supplier relationship management.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, Coupa, and Power BI
