Inspire Brands is seeking a highly motivated engineer with a strong background in Javascript and React Native to join our Mobile App team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving with creative solutions, and developing user-friendly and efficient mobile applications for our brands using React Native for both iOS and Android platforms. This person can receive general instructions on new work and is expected to be able to forge ahead with project-related initiatives. Works on problems of moderate scope and complexity, implementing and evaluating systems, and occasionally working on sub-systems.

This position is based in our Atlanta Support Center, with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver features that add value to the product.

• Develop reusable components and user interfaces with a focus on responsiveness and a seamless user experience.

• Integrate with backend APIs for data on demand.

• Write unit tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of the code.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.

• Continuously improve skills and knowledge in mobile app technologies.

• Good written and verbal communication, with a proven history of being able to work and collaborate effectively with non-technical team members and/or stakeholders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• 4-year Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.

• 3+ years of experience in developing mobile applications.

• 2+ years of experience with React Native, and Redux.

• Proven work experience as a Mobile App Developer using React Native.

• Experience with writing unit tests using Jest or a similar framework.

• Experience in API development in Node.js.

• Experience in working with Azure Kubernetes or similar.

• Experience with TypeScript preferred.

• Experience with Native development for iOS or Android preferred.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Bitrise or similar is preferred.

• Knowledge of mobile app security best practices is preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, or ABILITIES

• Understanding of database systems (e.g., MongoDB, SQLite) and data modeling.

• Understanding of Redux Toolkit and RTK Query.

• Understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to implement designs into code.

• Proficient in using Git for version control.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues.

• Portfolio of mobile applications developed with React Native.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
