T-Mobile USA, Inc. seeks Senior Engineers, Software in
Atlanta, GA to develop cloud native solutions for enterprise applications for products like order, account, and subscription management within the telecommunications domain. Design and develop internal business systems and applications, systems interfaces, databases, reporting, and business intelligence systems to deliver proactive methods to improve our products. Partner with other Engineers on sophisticated projects and work under the guidance of a Principal Engineer and/or Principal Architect. Lead the technical vision and development of a subdomain or capability. Adhere to strategies, policies, and standards defined by T-Mobile's Architecture and Security teams. Define and implement best coding and application security practices within the team. Develop user interface (UI) and backend applications including microservice and batch application design patterns and tools and technologies such as Angular JS, Java, Spring Boot, and Mongo DB, maximizing Azure services to deliver new systems functionality supporting corporate business objectives. Lead moderately sophisticated projects. Build scripts to support CI/CD, leveraging tools and technologies such as Maven and Jenkins to deploy on containerized environments such as Docker. Collaborate with teams including TPM, SRE, and others to build release plans and follow these plans to successful execution. Provide on-call and after-hours support for production releases and respond to and provide active resolution support on production outages. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and 5 years of relevant work experience. ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, and 3 years of relevant work experience. In addition, the following skills are required:
(1) Designing and building complex multi-tiered applications with scalable web technologies including REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML and conducting services virtualization; (2) Developing containerized applications using cloud technology including Azure, spring boot, Apigee, and webservice frameworks; (3) Building and managing CICD pipelines leveraging Maven, Jenkins and Azure DevOps; (4) Developing enterprise solutions and integration using Kafka, Rabbit MQ, EMS, and Java along with persistent storage solutions like No-SQL and SQL database; and (5) Conducting application testing using Junit framework and QA processes to attain continuous improvement in systems performance and ensure on-time delivery.
