Edelman is seeking a Senior Account Executive (SAE) with experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy and communications to join our growing DEI Advisory team. This position is open to any geography where we currently have offices.

About this role:

This role will be joining our team of DEI practitioners, who bring a critical lens to interventions and education. We are scholarly practitioners, social scientists, strategists and DEI subject matter experts who rely on data-backed approaches to solve organizations' toughest challenges.

We partner with clients as advisors to help brands authentically earn cultural relevancy and trust with Black, Hispanic, Latin American, Asian, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, Indigenous American and other global majority audiences. Our work is also intersectional and considers the experiences of people and characteristics across race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation,gender identity, veteran status, national origin, age and disability.

We seek a dynamic SAE who has experience with designing, analyzing and executing DEI initiatives and has an interest in helping our clients achieve more inclusive workplaces. While there is no "typical day" at Edelman, your time will include exposure to many disciplines within the company. This role will partner with the Vice President, DEI Advisory to develop global business solutions, executive communications and advisory for clients in food and beverage, consumer healthcare, pharma and technology.

Core Responsibilities: Managing multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence. Connecting with clients on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to deliver status updates, including managing agendas, meeting minutes and workback plans. Researching, outlining, writing, editing and proofreading materials, including client presentations, scripts, thought leadership features, social posts and newsletter articles. Developing a deep awareness of clients' business strategies, products and services, as well as having a clear point of view on sociopolitical issues facing their industries. Identifying and supporting the creation of strategies rooted in academic theories and DEI principles to drive mindset,behavior and culture change. Coordinating and supporting primary research via strategy workshops and in-depth interviews. Conducting secondary research to identify industry workforce trends. Analyzing and re-structuring workforce data from multiple disparate sources. Developing corporate communications and executive messaging and platforms. Supporting the VP, DEI Advisory in the delivery and tactical management of consulting assignments and building relationships across global clients and colleagues at all levels. Basic Qualifications: 2 years of relevant experience in DEI and/or related fields including human resources, crisis advisory, public policy, change management, employee engagement, union/ frontline communications, global compliance and internal/workforce communications. Bachelor's degree in communications, political science, economics, human resources or business administration, or a related discipline or certificate from an accredited college, university or community program. Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications: DEI and ERG experience strongly preferred. Superior writing, editing, communication and presentation skills; project management skills; and consultative skills (including effective questioning, critical thinking, client management and communication methodology application). Demon trated training facilitation skills (training, workshops and group meetings). Experience in market and competitive research and analysis. Strong knowledge of inclusion and diversity best practices and active observer of trends across industries and social channels. Ability to manage up and down.

$52,000 - $77,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
