Our team at Carter's is looking for a passionate Project Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving peak performance from our world-renowned brands. You'll collaborate across business areas to streamline delivery, ensure scalable success, and implement future-proof documentation.

This role reports to the Senior Project Manager within this space and is a hybrid, onsite role based in our Buckhead office.

Plan, estimate and schedule project tasks and deliverables (80%)

  • Determine resource and skills requirements and collaborate with resource managers for other IT areas to staff the appropriate skills and number of resources on the project

  • Drive projects to deliver business results

  • Report and manage issues and project risks

  • Conduct project completion audits/capture lessons learned

  • Deliver project or inventory of projects to agree upon metrics (on schedule, on budget, on benefit plan)

  • Coordinate efforts in line with the "bigger picture" to maximize the overall value of IT service delivery to the business

  • Engage as required to help resolve project issues and conflicts, so that on time, on budget, and value delivery metrics can be maximized

  • Provide leadership in the ongoing use of structured and rigorous IT processes that deliver repeatable results, in the use of a consistent system development lifecycle methodology, in the use of consistent estimating and planning tools for demand management and project management, and in the use of best practices project management

Administrative, planning, and documentation processes (20%)

  • Drive attention to detail in planning the intricacies of projects and in making sure project dependencies, conflicts, and issues are resolved in a manner maximizing the value delivered to the business

We’d Love to hear from you if:

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, technical degree is preferred

  • 2+ years’ experience in IT with experience in at least 1 of the following areas: project management, application design and implementation, technical infrastructure design and implementation, web design and implementation, IT strategy.

  • 2+ years’ experience in project and program management. Experience in planning, estimating, organizing, and managing IT projects

  • Strong understanding of financial management principles as it relates to project management and delivery of a business case (budget vs. earned progress, capital vs. expense, etc.)

  • Rigorous, structured, process centric approach to all work activities

  • 2+ years’ experience using a project management tool such as MS Project and Excel.

  • Exemplary communication skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation.

  • Strong project delivery skills - accurate project planning, delivers to milestone dates, manages resources effectively, communicates status effectively, manages risks, and can juggle multiple activities at once to accomplish goals.

  • Experience with application development projects and enterprise wide implementations.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering on projects of various sizes & durations. Highly adaptable to changing needs within the organization - adapts to rapidly changing priorities. Natural desire to drive projects aggressively to remove obstacles & meet deadlines. Strong technical aptitude - past experience developing or configuring information systems.

  • Full comprehension and appreciation for the complete systems development lifecycle

  • Able to work effectively and build relationships with employees at all levels. Ability to establish new processes and systems. Able to coordinate and motivate cross functional team members not under his/her direct supervision.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks at once, recognizing interdependencies & prioritizing appropriately

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Prior work with Marketing, Mobile App Development, Web Application Development, or UX/UI teams preferred
