Chick-fil-A Principal Program Lead, International Compliance in Atlanta, Georgia

As Chick-fil-A continues to expand both domestically and globally, this role will be responsible for compliance across multiple disciplines including international payroll, payroll taxes, payroll compliance filings, coordination of individual tax filings, foreign and domestic tax payments, and the tax equalization program. This role will serve Chick-fil-A, Inc. Staff who travel internationally, International Division Staff, as well as Related Entities Staff. This role requires the ability to take a broad perspective on overall programs, while also remaining attentive to detail. This role requires the ability to assume responsibility of multiple programs with minimal supervision and a deep knowledge of international payroll and global mobility concepts that can be leveraged in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
Responsible for compliance across multiple disciplines including international payroll and foreign tax returns for both domestic and International Division Staff.
Lead the program responsible for executing compliant international program components (payroll, payroll tax, payroll compliance) in a rapidly-changing regulatory environment, including coordination of payroll.
Manage the individual foreign tax return compliance process for Staff, including the preparation of annual authorization lists, coordinating tax payments and the preparation of foreign/domestic tax returns and the tax equalization process.
Implement and improve processes with an emphasis on automation and understandability to ensure timely compliance in international jurisdictions; maintain compliance while improving business partner experience, employee experience and overall understanding of complex requirements
Provide technical leadership on cross-functional teams including Talent, Compensation, Payroll, Enterprise Risk Management, and Legal functions
Create and manage annual budgets including the review and submission of vendor invoices
Partner with various departments on policy development and communication to Staff Members, following Chick-fil-A change management and communications best practices
Maintain strict compliance of all annual payroll compliance filings including the timely preparation and delivery of wage statements
Serve as a resource for Staff members, exhibiting ability to concisely articulate complex information
Stay abreast of international mobility trends and regulatory environment to ensure compliance
Collaborate extensively with the Payroll Center of Excellence, US payroll and HRIS partners (e.g., shadow payrolls, foreign taxes for US-based employees, gross-ups, TEQs)
Handle highly confidential and sensitive information in strict accordance with Chick-fil-A, Inc.’s confidentiality and data security policies
Responsible for established vendor relationships and adherence of vendors to multiple statements of work, service level expectations, and regulatory compliance requirements
Engage in development activities including department and team meetings, conferences, seminars, and interdepartmental engagement
Minimum Qualifications
Global Payroll experience – deep knowledge of mobility/payroll landscape
Global Mobility experience – deep knowledge of foreign compliance concepts including but not limited to tax equalization, assignment policies, imputed income and tax gross up calculations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
Financial acumen
Extreme attention to detail, strong organization, and process improvement skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including tact and diplomacy
7-8 years’ experience
