As a Migration and Modernization Partner Development Specialist within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to build mindshare and adoption of Amazon’s web services across AWS’s most strategic business partners and their customers. Your responsibility will be to drive executive and field engagement with leading SI consulting firms on a national scale focused and specialized on migration and modernization motions. By establishing and growing business and technical relationships and leading primarily go-to-market and sales motions with these partners, you will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth and overall end customer adoption across all market segments. The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level and with partner practice leaders, a sales background that enables them to easily interact with Enterprise customers and partner/AWS sellers, and the ability to engage with a partner across multiple geographies and within multiple vertical markets to achieve results. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, and to build and convey compelling customer value propositions around running Migration and Modernization motions, sales plays and go-to-market campaigns.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with a targeted group of global and national systems integrators to define and execute high impact joint sales and go-to-market programs that drive large Migration and Modernization wins.

  • Manage and drive joint Migration and Modernization sales engagements between partners and AWS sales teams.

  • Engage the partners' field sales organizations, channels and end customers to create and drive Migration and Modernization wins resulting in AWS consumption and revenue.

  • Set a strategic business development plan for target markets with assigned Partner management teams, and ensure alignment with the AWS strategic direction.

  • Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. Partner Development Managers, Partner Sales Managers, Industry sales teams, etc.).

  • Identify specific customer segments and industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition for using AWS.

  • Ensure that AWS is the partner’s preferred cloud computing platform across all related product lines.

  • Understand the technical requirements of our partners and work closely with AWS Center of Excellence teams to guide the direction of our migration and modernization offerings and programs.

  • Prepare targeted communications to AWS and partner teams including field sales, solutions architects, business development and other interested stakeholders in partner’s capabilities and successes.

  • Ability to work with AWS partner solution architects to help assigned partners to define go to market solution offerings utilizing the AWS service portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • 5-7 years of sales, business development or partner/program management experience.

  • Presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.

  • Experience working within the enterprise software development industry.

  • Prior experience working with Global or National Systems Integrators.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25-50% of time to US based partner offices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consistently exceeds quota and key performance metrics.

  • Prior experience working with Systems Integrators and Consulting Companies to drive sales and business growth.

  • Experience working with AWS/Microsoft or other Cloud Providers’ field and partner sales reps and customers.

  • Experience in assessment, migration and modernization solutions in Infrastructure, Datacenter, Databases and Applications preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
