SITA Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia
Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer positions offered by SITA Information Networking Computing USA Inc. (Atlanta, Georgia).
Design and develop computer system SDDC (software-defined data center) solution architectures that meet business and technical requirements. Select and integrate software-defined infrastructure components such as virtualization, software-defined networking (SDN), software-defined storage (SDS), and automation and orchestration tools. Lead planning and executing of SDDC initiatives. Provide decision making for all the software and application upgrades which are related to VMware SPC products. Evaluate and recommend new SDDC technologies and solutions to improve the performance, scalability, and security of the data center. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation plans, and operational procedures. Collaborate with other IT teams, including application development, security, and operations, to ensure that the SDDC meets the needs of the business. Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements - continuous modification and improvement. Function as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide ongoing monitoring, support, and improvement to our Cloud Platform connectivity stacks. Provide support for an Enterprise Data Center, implement, and maintain VMWare-based infrastructure and related storage. Manage the deployment and configuration of VCF components, such as vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vrealize Suite. Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices for managing VCF. Responsible for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications on the K8s clusters. This includes defining and deploying application workloads, managing storage and network resources, and monitoring and troubleshooting application performance issues. Responsible for automating the deployment, scaling, and management of K8s clusters and applications. Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of the VCF environment. Collaborate with other functional teams, such as network, storage, and security, to integrate VCF with other infrastructure components. Stay current with the latest VCF features and updates and evaluating their potential impact on the business.
Must have at least a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field and at least 7 years of experience in the job offered or at least 7 years of experience with cloud infrastructure engineering. Stated experience must also include at least 2 years of experience with each of the following: Working with Cloud Networking solutions with Azure, and also at least one of the following cloud-native technologies: Terraform, Ansible, and Docker. Working with Kubernetes Networking or at least one of the following other technologies: Service Mesh, Rancher, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Developing IaC via automated scripts using Terraform, Python, and Ansible within AWS or ADO. Working with VMWare vCloud, including vRealize Suite and NXS-T. Working with LAN and WAN networking, TCP/IP, load balancing principles, infrastructure management concepts, and common internet services/protocols. Must be willing to travel domestically 20%.
