Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to work in our Atlanta, Georgia location. This role involves handling accounts payable tasks, processing invoices, and managing payments. The role is set in a hybrid workplace and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions.

• Oversee invoice processing and payment procedures.

• Conduct daily research to resolve freight payment questions and issues.

• Provide support to sites and carriers on overall freight audit payment invoice processes/rules.

• Review exception reports and identify any unusual spikes, obtain supporting info and resolve.

• Monitor and manage freight payment inquiries.

• Update rates in external providers' databases and systems as needed.

• Identify patterns/trends and resolve with applicable parties.

• Monitor and research root cause of rating errors on manufacturing systems.

• Manage and resolve freight payment issues from the group Freight Payment email boxes.

• Work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment requiring excellent attention to detail. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suites

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures

• Experience with Invoice processing and Payment Processing

• Ability to conduct thorough Research and Review of financial data

• Familiarity with Database management and Audit procedures

• Knowledge of 'About Time' and 'Workstation Support' software

• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks

• Experience in Procurement processes in a Manufacturing environment

• Understanding of Transportation Services and Third Party Logistics

• Ability to identify and interpret Patterns in financial data

• Excellent Written Communication and overall Communication Skills

• Experience with Process Improvement strategies

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 system

• Experience or interest in working with Veterans a plus

• Ability to support A Plus tasks and initiatives.
