Position Title: Financial Analyst III

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Position Responsibilities:

Contribute to long term strategic planning, annual planning, variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews, and ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed. Partner closely with a broad range of finance and business leaders in Operations, Technology, Sales and Account Management. Communicate with stakeholders such as country leaders, product leaders, network/capacity planning teams, and FP&A. Design forecasting models, develop and report performance measurements, and develop models/mechanisms to improve the economics and strategy of the business. Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon. Deliver weekly/monthly financial close. Use financial systems and advanced MSExcel functions to work with large data sets. Output plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations. Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events. Communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. Collect and analyze quantitative data to develop relevant reports that drive cost reductions. Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring peers and team members. Seek and leverage diverse perspectives in all activities. Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Improve, scale, or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations. Contribute to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence.

40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $107,141/ year to $163,200/year.

Basic Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master’s degree and three years of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) developing complex financial models, and managing large data sets to perform ad hoc business analyses and insights; (2) developing and reporting business metrics/drivers, and delivering accurate financial plans and forecasts; (3) utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel techniques for business and financial modeling; (4) using data to report and present business analysis and recommendations to senior management or clients to influence strategic decision-making and planning; (5) defining key business metrics and generating reports that track performance; (6) cross-functional partnership across multiple teams; and (7) influencing business owners.
