We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy Systems Engineer to play a key role in ensuring our facilities are designed, built, and operated with a focus on maximizing energy efficiency and sustainability. The Energy Systems Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the development, selection, maintenance guidance of ecofriendly infrastructure systems within our facilities. This role will involve collaborating with various teams to implement optimized solutions energy efficiency, water usage, waste management, and overall environmental impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, a passion for sustainability, energy conservation, and the ability to drive change within an organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of sustainable infrastructure systems within our facilities, including energy-efficient HVAC systems, renewable energy solutions, water conservation measures, and waste management systems.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure goals are integrated into the design and construction process.

  • Conduct assessments and audits of existing facilities to identify opportunities for improving sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards goals.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams on infrastructure design, operation, and maintenance.

  • Research and stay up-to-date on the latest sustainable technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

  • Coordinate with external partners, vendors, and consultants to leverage their expertise and resources as needed.

  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and training materials related to initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on sustainable infrastructure design and implementation.

  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles, practices, and standards.

  • Experience with energy-efficient building design, renewable energy systems, water conservation, and waste management.

  • Proficiency in conducting sustainability assessments, energy audits, and data analysis.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience working with green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, etc.) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to sustainability and infrastructure design.

  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
