Xylem Construction Supervisor in Atlanta, Georgia

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

· Manages sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitor and controls performance.

· Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project operating and capital budget information · Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resource required; establishing standards and protocols; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions.

· Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases

· Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing codes

· Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations POSITION

REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION: · Preferred: Technical degree · 3-8 yrs of experience in construction industry required.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: · Strong knowledge of their trade · Communication skills · Strong leadership · Ability to lead by example. · Ability to educate new employees. · Planning and staying on timeline. · Budgeting · Ability to read, understand, and direct work based on engineering drawings, schematics and construction documents. · Ability to set priorities and exercise flexibility where necessary. 3. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Please check all that apply and fill in all required blanks. Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis. Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Must be able to climb and descend stairs. Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees. May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required. May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt. Work surfaces may include concrete. Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone. Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required. Other: This can be a hands-on position with occasional labor that is required to complete some installations or assist technicians with tasks.

  2. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: (TIME SPENT AWAY FROM HOME OR OTHER TYPICAL OFFICE LOCATION) 50% or more.

  3. Company vehicle is personally assigned.

Salary range:

$70,500.00 - $126,500.00
