Business Development Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties that are assigned.

  • Lead facilities issues:

  • Maintain building systems by contracting for maintenance services; supervising repairs.

  • Maintains properties by investigating and resolving programs directors’ concerns

  • Lead lease management:

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data on all leases and trends with rate increases and renewals.

  • Tracking the lease term and making sure it has all the necessary clauses to protect Crossroads and renewing leases it chooses when the deadlines approach.

  • Assist team in researching potentially viable locations for treatment centers across the United States. This research will include finding:

  • Calls to competitors to understand markets

  • Opioid related overdose rates at the state, county, and city levels

  • Amount of opioid prescription drugs prescribed in an area

  • Heroin and other opioid related crimes in an area

  • Assist team in identifying:

  • Real estate pricing and availability

  • Zoning regulations and potential restrictions

  • Potential state level regulatory hurdles

  • Assist team in the opening of new centers, including:

  • Securing office supplies, furniture and other furnishings

  • Monitoring contractor’s progress via phone, email, and by making visits on site.

  • Completing local applications for zoning and business licenses

  • Projecting target opening dates based on: time allowed for research, site selection, construction of facility, the application process, the provisioning process, and state and federal inspections

  • Manage a variety of tasks that allow for the successful growth and completion of planned marketing programs.

  • Will become familiar with:

  • Communicating our needs with contractors, collecting bids, negotiating and executing agreements, and managing construction throughout the build-out process

  • Negotiating and executing lease agreements and architectural agreements

  • Designing efficient layouts and communicating our needs with architects

  • Will become familiar with:

  • Leasing terms

  • Building and construction terms

  • The growing problem of opioid dependency in America and how it affects people’s families and lives on a daily basis

  • Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and its’ conjunctive approach using FDA approved medication as well as individual counseling

  • The common stigma associated with MAT in comparison to abstinence based treatment
