Your Role

Our Area Training Manager (Sea Logistics Training Expert) is responsible for facilitating onboarding and ongoing training programs for new and current employees within the South East area, focusing on operational systems, field competencies, and soft skills. You will exhibit effective facilitation techniques to ensure engaging and productive learning experiences. Working closely with our National Training Manager and key stakeholders as an individual contributor, our Training Manager ensures that all training sessions are aligned with business needs, accurately documented, and impactful.

Your Responsibilities

  • Facilitate onboarding, role-specific, and ad-hoc training programs for both new hires and current employees in our South East area, using effective methods to engage, inspire, and motivate participants in their development journey

  • Coordinate with the National Training Manager to plan and schedule training sessions aligned with the program's framework, ensuring seamless delivery for both new hires and current employees

  • Post and announce training schedules and keep attendance via Corporate LMS

  • Use quizzes, group exercises, and interactive discussions to assess understanding during sessions

  • Monitor participants’ engagement and adapt strategies as needed to enhance learning outcomes

  • Follow up with participants who need additional assistance or support to ensure they reach training benchmarks

  • Maintain accurate records of training completions and progress, ensuring compliance with company requirements

  • Work with the National Training Manager to review feedback analytics, helping to identify areas for improvement in future sessions and support implementation.

  • Provide constructive feedback to participants and their managers to foster skill development and ensure training goals are met

  • Partner closely with the National Training team and internal stakeholders to identify and address training needs across the business unit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

  • Assess current training gaps, recommend targeted programs, and coordinate with stakeholders to support strategic training initiatives that meet evolving business requirements

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred

  • 3+ years experience in training facilitation

  • Ability to lead, engage, and impact diverse groups in training sessions

  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint and presentation skills to effectively convey information, engage trainees, and collaborate with team members

  • Excellent time management and attention to detail to manage multiple training sessions, document training completions, and track progress

  • Flexibility in training approaches, adjusting to meet evolving program requirements and diverse learner needs

  • Ability to assess training effectiveness through feedback and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing session impact

  • Travel Requirement: 50% domestic, mostly in the in the East Coast area
