Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is part of the telecom industry and will require the incumbent to handle a range of tasks related to accounts payable. The workplace will be a dynamic and fast-paced environment where the individual will need to manage various responsibilities simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• System conversions: Transitioning to new software or technology to streamline operations.

• Reconciliation of accounts payable: Balancing the books to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

• Participating in mergers and acquisitions: Assisting in financial tasks and transitions during company mergers or acquisitions.

• Providing coverage during medical or maternity leaves: Stepping in to handle the workload of colleagues who are on leave.

• Assisting in annual audits: Working with auditors to provide necessary information and ensure financial transparency.

• Handling staff reductions: Managing the financial implications of staff cuts or layoffs.

• Managing peak workload demands: Handling increased workloads during busy periods.

• Full cycle AP: Managing all stages of accounts payable, from receipt of a supplier's invoice to payment.

• 3 way matching: Ensuring that purchase orders, receipts, and invoices match before making payment.

• Batching invoices: Grouping invoices together for more efficient processing.

• Coding invoices: Assigning specific codes to invoices for more organized record-keeping.

• High volume processing of payables: Handling a large number of invoices and payments in an efficient and accurate manner. Requirements • Proficiency in managing accounts payable tasks

• Experience with 3 Way Matching

• Knowledge and understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus

• Experience with accounting software is a plus
