Lead team member working on electrical design projects from the conceptual and study stage through completion of construction

Projects typically include electric power substations, transmission lines, distribution lines, load-side generation facilities, SCADA systems, fiber optic communication systems, and industrial distribution systems. System studies typically include short circuit, arc flash, protective coordination, load flow, cost of service, rate, and economic feasibility. Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

Prepare electrical packaged equipment specifications and data sheets, Request for Qualifications (RFQ's), technical bid evaluations, and purchase recommendations

Review electrical equipment, vendor drawings, and data

Interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, detailers, and designers

Participate in project schedule development, scope, budget staffing, and construction planning

Responsible for management of change orders

Apply expert knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry

Apply knowledge and experience in complex projects and finding non-standard design solutions

Quality review of production drawings, calculations, and specifications

Oversee construction administration, including coordination with field personnel to resolve design-related installation issues, calculations, field inspections, and testing of electrical systems

Leads field inspections, installation, measurements, or calculations
