Description
Are you an experienced and customer-obsessed product leader who lives at the intersection of experience and operational excellence? The Senior Product Manager, HRP Experience will be a driving force behind our mission to empower HRPs to deliver exceptional support to managers across our Artificial General Intelligence, Amazon Web Services, Devices and Services, and Ads, IMDb, and Grand Challenge (AADA) divisions. You'll orchestrate high-impact initiatives, reimagine our team mechanisms, and champion change that resonates throughout our global organization. You will be the single-threaded leader for three high-priority central product teams, helping meet the needs of the 200K+ employees AADA HRPs support. This role will work backwards from the customer to define a cohesive, human-centered experience, and then work to evolve the enabling technologies and business processes. This seasoned expert has a proven track record of synthesizing customer needs from a broad audience, sizing and prioritizing needs, and co-creating to develop the right solution.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of AADA HRP Experience, you lead product strategy for the primary products used by HR and employees. You will define new goals where strategy is not yet clear, build trusted relationships with partner teams, and leverage your expertise to help our workforce adapt to significant change. This role requires proactively identifying service delivery gaps and defining the path forward, often by effectively influencing others to resolve issues. The goal is to raise the bar on employee experience while optimizing the cost of providing HR services. You will drive operational and experience-forward efficiencies, and establish best practices for the organization. This role is expected to lead independently.

Key job responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap
Partner with the APX LT and HRP Experience team to define the ideal future state HR Partner Experience
Define roadmaps that solve for both near-term pain points and work backwards from the ideal future state.
Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility.
Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
Deal with ambiguity and understand complex business and operational problems
Translate customer needs into clear and actionable requirements, ensuring they are well-understood by the engineering team.
Create and maintain product specifications, user stories, other documentation as needed to communicate requirements effectively
Prioritization and Advocacy:
Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for their needs and ensuring they are prioritized in the product development process.
Collaborate with central product teams to prioritize features, bug fixes, and technical debt based on customer impact and business value.
Negotiate and find compromises when there are conflicting priorities or resource constraints, while prioritizing customer needs
Stakeholder Management and Communication
Regularly communicate product updates, roadmaps, and customer insights to internal stakeholders, such as service delivery leaders and customers, partner teams, and leadership
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and alignment to ensure all teams are working towards the same customer-centric goals
Manage stakeholder expectations and provide transparency on product decisions, timelines, and trade-offs.
Product Launch and Monitoring
Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and execute successful product launches, ensuring proper communication and change management
Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and usage metrics after launch, and make data-driven decisions on future improvements or pivots
Continuously gather and incorporate customer feedback into the product development cycle, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Strategic Partnerships and Integrations
Identify and evaluate potential partnerships or integrations that can enhance the product offering and better meet customer needs.
Manage relationships with partners, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with the product roadmap and customer
A day in the life
Imagine starting your day by diving into data that reveals key insights about manager needs or HRP challenges. You'll use these findings to brainstorm innovative solutions with your team, then present your ideas to senior leadership in a compelling story that paints a vision of the future.
By midday, you might be facilitating a workshop with HRPs from around the world, gathering their feedback on a solution to streamline their workflow. In the afternoon, you could be collaborating with our central product team partners to drive game-changing improvements to HRP productivity.
As the day winds down, you spend some heads down time developing a change management plan for an upcoming product feature release that will bring exciting integration to HRP tools. Before logging off, you'll take a moment to reflect on the tangible impact your work is having on thousands of employees worldwide.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with end to end product delivery
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience as a product manager or owner
Experience owning technology products
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
