We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and strategic process/ continuous improvement business leader to join the ACS BAC Operations Excellence team. The Senior Process Improvement Program Manager (Sr PIPM) will lead teams within the operations excellence vertical that are responsible for process design, quality control/ assurance, and continuous improvement. They will help create, lead, and implement the program vision. The Sr PIPM will serve as a Lean/Six Sigma coach, mentor, and project leader for processes that span service lines and geographies.

The Sr PIPM operates at the nexus of operations, innovation, and analytics teams. They will create and be accountable for initiatives that result in more efficient, scalable, and frustration-free processes. They drive multi-organizational teams to deliver big, bold customer-focused results using advanced Lean, change management, and data analytics skills. The Sr PIPM is comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced startup environment.

EXPORT CONTROL REQUIREMENT

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities

• Serve as a source of Quality, Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence subject matter expertise to employees from the frontline to senior leadership

• Plan, lead, and facilitate improvement projects across the business, from large strategic initiatives to focused tactical projects

• Create automated scalable operations data acquisition tools as necessary for improvement projects. Application Examples: Time and motion studies, or value stream mapping data acquisition, across global teams.

• Leverage advanced analytics skills to create meaningful analytical tools, reports, and presentations

• Serve as a leader of multiple teams (Process Design, Quality, and Continuous Improvement), executing their missions within the Operations Excellence vertical

About the team

The vision of the Operations Excellence team is to design and activate predictive mechanisms that create safe, secure, and frustration-free experiences for our agents, vendors, and fellow Amazonians. Our present-day mission is to identify and execute opportunities that increase efficiencies and decrease defects, leveraging our cross-team partners to find people, process, and technology improvements. We design new processes for our agents, vendors, and fellow Amazonians with built-in quality on day one.

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required

• 5+ years’ experience applying Quality, Lean, or Lean Six Sigma methodologies

• 5+ years’ experience in project management, program management, operations leadership, or operations improvement

• 1+ years’ experience leading teams in a relevant field

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean and/or Six Sigma certification, Amazon ACES experience

• Master’s Degree in Operations Research, Business Management, Business Administration, or equivalent

• Prior experience working as a Lean or Quality leader, delivering business efficiencies

• Experience in process design, including the creation of visual workflow products (e.g., Visio process maps)

• Demonstrated analytical skills; a quantitative background with ability to create tools that synthesize and interpret large volumes of data, and clearly communicate findings

• Experience identifying, analyzing, and solving ambiguous problems independently with a high attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units

• Experience successfully influencing senior leaders with written and verbal communications and interfacing with and influencing managers, decision makers, and peers

• Experience leading medium or large teams, with success coaching team members

• Passion for technology, curiosity to dive deep into Amazon’s suite of technical products and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge

• Technical proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visual Basic for Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
