Who We Are

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is currently seeking a Security Officer, with significant experience with DoD SAPs PERSEC, INFOSEC, and Research and Technology Protection.

Essential attributes include critical thinking and excellent oral and written communication skills, working with The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) leadership and other OSD departments.

The position will be at the client site in Arlington, VA (Crystal City). Will be working within a SCIF environment. This role is contingent upon position availability.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee and complete Acquisition or Intelligence Special Access Program (SAP) projects

  • Perform facility security maintenance Research and Technology Protection

  • Utilize DoD SAP system of record to perform day to day responsibiities.

  • Rigorous adherence and understanding of security protocols

  • The position will be working with Special Projects within OUSD(R&E). This group is tasked by the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide oversight and analyses of strategic joint advanced capability and technology applications and to identify and explore key investment opportunities for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, OUSD(R&E).

What We Are Looking For

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.

  • Practical experience in Acquisition or Intelligence Special Access Programs (SAP)

  • Be experienced with closing out SAP programs, leading this effort and understand how the SAP enterprise reform process works.

  • Possess expertise in Facility Security Maintenance and Research and Technology Protection.

  • Possess significant experience in using the DoD SAP system of record.

  • Have a thorough understanding of security protocols and a rigorous adherence to policies.

  • Be familiar with Communication Security Management (COMSEC).

  • Excellent organizational and teambuilding skills, good interpersonal skills.

  • Clearance - Must have an active Security Clearance level TS/SCI or current T5/T5R investigation.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • Hold current certifications in SPSC and SFPC.
