Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services Company, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Operations Specialist with a Secret Clearance to support KTS and our government customer in Arlington, VA. This is a hybrid opportunity.

The Senior Business Operations Specialist will perform requirements analysis and integration support tasks. This position requires active engagement with the requirement owners throughout program and project lifecycles. Provide support in the areas of classification, workforce development, employee relations, labor relations, and information systems.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the administrative POC.

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense security requirements.

  • Experience working in an Information Technology environment similar in large DoD environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of large, complex Information Technology environments.

  • Receive, disseminate, coordinate, and track incoming tasks to ensure they are addressed and completed in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate daily calendars and ensure operations are accomplished in a timely, professional manner. Orchestrate schedules and tasks across various environments consistent with leadership priorities.

  • Assist leadership in coordinating tasks and information across the environment to ensure each group remains informed and aligned to the overall strategic vision and schedule.

  • Coordinate joint efforts with other groups and offices and maintain accountability of all assigned tasks.

  • Arrange and manage meetings, conferences, and video-teleconferencing, including tasks such as capturing minutes, maintaining invitations, updating contact rosters, and providing support with drafting meeting agendas.

  • Oversee the coordination of special events, meetings, conferences, and workgroups, ensuring smooth organization and execution.

  • Provide correspondence, staffing support, and oversight for all required correspondence actions (e.g., formal letters, memoranda, read-ahead briefing and meeting packages, activity reports, and senior leadership reports).

  • Perform technical writing, editing, and proofreading ensuring documents are formatted correctly and free from grammatical errors. Additionally, track suspense dates to ensure timely completion.

  • Prepare and assist in the development of briefings and multimedia presentations to support effective and professional communication of information.

  • Prepare, maintain, and update informational packages.

  • Organize, curate, and maintain the electronic document repository as directed.

  • Maintain detailed awareness of the status of major program office assignments and facilitate alignment with leadership’s priorities across the program office.

  • Support planning and execution of strategic team sessions and offsite meetings.

  • Recommend and maintain approved modern tools that improve efficient management of the program office.

  • Facilitate Front Office communication with peer organizations, senior leadership, and various organizational offices in coordination with strategic communications groups.

  • Assist government leads with conducting annual capability gap and requirements validation/re-validation assessments in response to emerging threats, changing external guidance, and realignment of mission priorities.

  • Analyze potential solutions selected by the Government and assess the ability of each solution to meet the validated requirements.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 10+ years related experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • PMI related certification (PMP preferred)

  • Current certification in Security+ Ability to uphold a strict level of discretion and confidentiality.

  • Comfortable in a fast paced/dynamic environment.

  • Must be flexible with time to best accommodate customer demands.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage.

  • Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.

  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.

  • Powerful analytical and problem-solving skills – including the ability to develop solutions in new and creative ways.

  • Demonstrate an exceptional ability to brief senior executives with little notice.

  • Demonstrate a strong familiarity with Atlassian environment (Jira and Confluence)

  • Demonstrate a strong experience in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

  • Must be a US Citizen, hold a current DoD Secret Clearance, and able to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
