Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) is responsible for the transportation of billions of products into and between Amazon fulfillment centers. Hundreds of thousands of vendors and sellers rely on AGL to pick up when we say we will, transport freight securely, and deliver on time. The AGL Business Operations team (BizOps) leads the P&Ls for AGL's domestic and imports transportation businesses and is seeking a leader to drive and captain the annual planning cycles (OP1/OP2), quarterly planning cycles (QBR, Q2/3/4G), monthly business and profitability reviews, and monthly product/tech prioritization reviews. Additionally, this role will work across various WBRs to standardize and uplevel delivery of critical content. It is a multi-disciplinary role where the leader will be responsible for guiding the multi-thousand person org through 1) key planning cycles, including prioritizing initiatives driven by hundreds of engineers, 2) quarterly/monthly/weekly review processes, and 3) strategic headcount allocation processes. This role will work with various teams within AGL and across the Amazon supply chain in multiple geographies. Therefore, we are looking for a leader with strong strategic, communication, and organization skills who thrives in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and dynamic environment to own the end-to-end strategies.

Key job responsibilities

  • Acting as the lead Program Manager to guide the org through planned and ad hoc strategic activities and cycles.

  • Captaining major document reviews, including OP1, OP2, Q2/3/4G, and 3YF, and working with product leaders to prioritize tech capacity.

  • Organizing and leading Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) across the orgs of multiple senior leaders.

  • Ensuring smooth allocation and management of headcount in accordance with org priorities.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience delivering cross functional projects

  • Experience with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
