Within Nestlé USAs Corporate Reporting Team, you will lead a reporting team that prepares monthly, quarterly and annual internal corporate reporting to be submitted to the parent company (Nestlé SA),and analyze a wide range of complex accounting transactions. In addition, key responsibilities will include half-yearly and annual external financial statement reporting, which support bond issuance for Nestlé SA, digital transformation, and end to end reporting of specific divisions.

This role will also be responsible for continuous improvement of the team ways of working utilizing new digital solutions to improve efficiency, promoting first time quality and proactive engagement with stakeholders in ensuring timely submission of such reports.

Primary Responsibilities:

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Own the management, review, and preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting – including income statement, balance sheet, equity and the relevant supporting schedules

  • Managing the preparation and review of externally published financial statements (IFRS) for Nestlé Capital Corporation and summary reporting information (IFRS and US GAAP) for Nestlé Holdings Inc. This includes coordinating with EY auditors.

  • Support business teams and various functions (tax, legal, treasury, supply chain etc), for all technical accounting guidance and implementation of any new guidelines & standards.

  • Support for all restructuring provisions, impairments and other one-off items requiring approval from the Group as well as annual impairment testing of goodwill and indefinite life intangibles.

  • Coaching and developing the Finance & Control team to help them reach their full potential through individual coaching, training, and career development.

  • Work with Nestlé SA (Swiss Head office) Group Accounting & Reporting teams to enhance and implement new reporting systems.

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or similar field with CPA

  • Minimum 5+ years of sustainable high performance in Finance and Technical Reporting required, including a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a Corporate Reporting, Public Accounting Firms with GAAP or IFRS requirements

  • 3-5 years people management experience required

Knowledge:

  • Proficient in corporate consolidations, of Corporate Finance and accounting/reporting systems.

  • Proficient of International Financial Reporting Systems (IFRS) or US GAAP and ability to research more complex issues and document for review & approvals by Group Accounting & Reporting and External Auditor’s.

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and documentation skills, solid networking abilities, and the capability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. They should be results-focused, self-starters with strong initiative, natural curiosity, independent thinking abilities, and a desire to make a difference

  • Experience in corporate consolidations, of Corporate Finance and accounting/reporting systems

  • Understanding of US & Global Corporate Taxes.

  • Strong Internal Controls background.

  • Deep understanding of consumer products industry, business environment

  • Ability to reengineer processes and automate manual processes using RPA. Altyrex, PowerBI and other dashboard tools

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other analytical tools

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and documentation skills

  • Solid networking skills to manage relationships with business partners

  • Capability to manage several priorities and projects simultaneously

  • Ideal candidate is results focused, a self-starter with strong initiative, naturally inquisitive, able to think independently, can deal with ambiguity and has a desire to make a difference
