Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a leader in cloud computing, is seeking an experienced and data-driven Marketing Business Analyst to join our high-performing marketing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing marketing data, uncovering insights, and providing strategic recommendations to drive business growth and optimize marketing performance.

Key job responsibilities

• Play a key role in the development of marketing goals, seasonality models, and influencing operating plans by providing data-driven insights, projections, and financial analysis.

• Oversee the rhythm of the business by inputting into weekly business reviews, goal attainment, variance analysis, and identifying areas for course correction or optimization.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets from various sources (e.g., web analytics, marketing automation, CRM, social media) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

• Communicate complex analytical findings, financial insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, through clear and compelling data visualizations and presentations.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to track key marketing metrics, campaign performance, and return on investment (ROI).

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product, finance) to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable data analysis and insights.

• Design and execute ad-hoc analyses, experiments, and models to answer specific business questions and support data-driven decision-making.

• Provide data-driven recommendations and actionable insights to optimize marketing campaigns, channels, and tactics for maximum impact and efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree

  • MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
