Koniag Professional Services (KPS) currently has an opening for an Acquisition Program Analyst for the Department of Defense Office of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer’s (CDAO) Acquisition Office. The successful candidate will support the Government Client with the development and implementation of acquisition strategies and plans specific for artificial intelligence technology programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and reviews/inputs to strategy documents, research plans, and roadmaps for assigned technical program area.

  • Supports and attends designated program reviews of CDAO Communities of Interest and programs, to include FFRDCs and UARCs.

  • Facilitates or leads deep dives, cross organizational teams into high-interest or game changing technology areas.

  • Provides support for review and execution of Congressional Special Interest Items, Congressional Reports, GAO studies, drafting policy guidance and responses, coordinating budget, and management oversight.

  • Provides support and coordination of technical program with USD A&S, USD R&E, and other agencies.

  • Provides support to CDAO Programs.

  • Interacts with other Service/Component contracting offices to facilitate open issues in contracting, technology, and budgeting, to include approval of work plans and public release documents.

  • Assists in preparing for meetings and workshops, to include coordination of calendars of senior DoD personnel; preparation of announcements, agendas, read-ahead documents, meeting minutes, and technical briefing materials; management of logistics, travel arrangements, and meeting-facility support; and preparation and administration of action items.

  • Develops and reviews acquisition documentation, Acquisition Decision Memorandums, Acquisition Strategies, information papers and reports, and other documents.

Requirements:

  • Extensive program/project management experience and/or experience assisting a government customer with providing oversight of DoD efforts at the Headquarters level or equivalent.

  • To be considered, must have a CURRENT/ACTIVE SECRET security clearance and be upgradable to TOP SECRET/SCI.

  • General knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the DoD-specific acquisition policies and processes

  • Ability to learn artificial intelligence, information technology (IT), and emerging technology concepts, capabilities, and trends in order to conduct independent technical research for the development of DoD acquisition-related information papers, reports, briefs, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills, unstructured verbal interactions, briefings, and meeting moderation; and ability to work independently with both junior and senior staff in a distributed environment while maintaining a strong commitment to deliverable scheduled.

  • Highly motivated professional and capable of managing demanding workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities

  • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient MS Teams, Excel and Outlook application skills.

  • Current Active Secret security clearance is required

  • Occasional travel may be required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
