To efficiently procure goods and services in accordance with the applicable laws, policies and procurement procedures. Responsible for independently determining the disposition of routine procurement problems, and referring to a superior on non-routine problems..Procure goods and services after determining the correct solicitation method toensure best value.Facilitate and administer the solicitation process including writing of specifications,attending pre-bid and evaluation meetings, and conducting site visits.Provide customer service to internal and external customers; collaboratively developand ensure positive rapport with customers through effective verbal and writtencommunication.Work in a collaborative effort with customer, Disbursements, Receiving and suppliersto resolve problems.Perform data entry into PeopleSoft financial system to amend and adjust data enteredby campus users.Perform data entry into State of Texas Purchasing on-line system.Expedite delinquent orders.Visit with suppliers.Performs other duties as assigned..High school graduation with two (2) years of purchasing experience.Must have current certification from a State of Texas approved professional purchasing organization or obtain within 18 months of hire date..Bachelorand#x2019;s degree.Past experience in developing scopes of work and complex procurement solicitation documents.and#xA0;PeopleSoft/E-Procurement experience.
