Key Responsibilities:

The Flight Operations Training Instructor (Operations) delivers classroom, practical, and on-the-job instruction for technical and interpersonal skills as well as courses and seminars for ongoing organizational priorities. The Flight Operations Training Instructor ensures updated accurate course content is being delivered using a variety of teaching approaches. The Flight Operations Training Instructor will also assist in identifying training requirements and related programs to assure achievement of local, regional, and corporate objectives. The Flight Operations Instructor may assist in the development and maintenance of course outlines and training materials. This person will also provide content, technical and procedural support on training subjects and issues. Up to 75% of domestic and international travel required

  • Deliver all Flight Operations training curricula

  • Assist in identifying training requirements and related programs to assure achievement of local, regional, and corporate objectives

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of courses, outlines, and training materials

  • Provide content, technical, and procedural support on training subjects and issues

  • Proactively follow up with locations regarding training summary and individual student performance – level of detail and depth of comments

  • Provide functional work guidance to temporary instructors and may provide functional guidance to permanent instructors

  • Conduct classroom observations and assists in instructor development

  • Delivers classroom, practical, and on-the-job instruction for technical and interpersonal skills as well as courses and seminars for ongoing organizational priorities

  • Own session management from beginning to end – session requests, managing rosters and enrollment, session close out, ordering and shipping of materials, etc.

  • Own participant’s learning experience from beginning to end – welcome people to learning, engage learners in a positive and affirming way, provide feedback for performance according to course objectives, close out sessions to build interest and excitement for development and successful performance

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Degree in Education or comparable work experience

  • Existing instruction/facilitation skills

  • At least 2 years of proven experience

  • At least 6 months to 1-year training experience

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment

  • Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of personnel required

  • Strategic and forward-thinking

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Taleo and databases

  • Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service orientation

  • Ability to handle highly confidential information required

  • Ability to build solid relationships and work in a team environment

  • Flexibility to work various shifts to support 24/7/365 operation (including overnight, weekend, holiday, and overtime hours

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

  • 2 or more years Flight Operations experience
