Requirements Manager - Project R28313

The Requirements Manager – Project will be responsible for an order of vehicles from bid handoff through the virtual truck build, to when the truck is released to manufacturing, and through the final inspection of the physical build. This role will ensure the technical build and physical production of the truck aligns to and is being developed based on the specific customers’ order. The Requirements Manager will liaison between the customer, virtual build team including Engineering and Sales, and the production floor to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Partner with the customer and sales representative to validate truck specifications are identified and upheld throughout the virtual build process

  • Update engineering drawings and blueprints with customer changes to the truck

  • Initiate production change orders (PCOs) to initiate customer changes to the truck

  • Manipulate and understand pricing of options and be able to communicate pricing to the customer

  • Conduct weight reviews and working with the customer and engineering to ensure feasibility based on vehicle configuration and options selected

  • Act as the main point of contact for the customer from the finalization of the bid process through final inspection of the truck

  • Host visits with the customers and sales representatives; coordinate logistics of each visit

  • Utilize knowledge of truck capabilities to coordinate technical build of truck in collaboration with the physical build of the truck

  • Influence using established option content and utilize informed choices to assist customers through changes

  • Finalize review packet for handoff to engineering

  • Host lunches and/or dinners with customers and sales representatives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and two or more years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Technical aptitude and understanding of prints and drawings

  • Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and ability to collaborate

  • Ability to influence without authority and handle difficult conversations with various customer groups
