Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Sales, the VP of Global Sales will be responsible for NTT GDC Americas, Inc. products and service sales activities such as developing and managing key strategic accounts and internal resources to facilitate the sales process, establishing and maintaining effective communications with appropriate executives and management to ensure proper sensitivity to sales needs, and maximizing sales revenue to meet company objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and manages key global hyperscale accounts and strategy plans; executes against sales objectives, margin goals, and overall business strategy.

  • Develops client relationships throughout the organization in each pertinent area of the business in collaboration with delivery leaders.

  • Maintains Salesforce.com and client interaction records.

  • Executes sales based on specific marketing programs.

  • Participates in corporate-wide sales activities including focused sales campaigns.

  • Presents account reviews with team to identify and target practice area specific opportunities.

  • Share successes and ideas with team.

  • Is accountable for meeting or exceeding assigned sales objectives and monthly revenue quotas.

  • Conducts follow-up service calls to all accounts on a regular basis.

  • Prepares and delivers documents such as RFP's, SOW's, and MSA's accurately and timely.

  • Maintains an accurate sales pipeline within our CRM system (and/or other internal systems) and creates forecasts comparing revenue sold compared to quota goals.

  • Stays well-informed on industry changes, participates where possible in professional organizations directly involved with our prime markets, and continually works to improve sales techniques and knowledge.

  • Actively participates in weekly, monthly, and quarterly Sales meetings and functions, either in person or via conference call.

  • Actively pursues and participates in industry events, training opportunities, and other additional promotional and expertise gathering initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Solid proficiency to use the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce.com, sharepoint and DCIM tools.

  • In-depth data center regulatory knowledge.

  • Strong contract negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) and leadership skills required.

  • Senior level client relationship skills including experience in negotiations and articulating complex solutions and benefits.

  • Prior experience and continued use of with Miller Heinman conceptual selling practices.

  • Team selling approach utilizing multiple departments to execute large sales opportunities.

What will make you a good fit for the role?

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience usually obtained with 10 - 15 years’ directly related experience.

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Data Center colocation sales, with demonstrated abilities managing Fortune 500 clients.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to drive a vehicle.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate vehicle, computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.

  • Close visual work on a computer terminal.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Typical office environment with extensive daily usage of a computer or workstation.

  • Frequent travel to client sites and RDC Data Centers.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • May require being on call periodically and working outside traditional business hours.

  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance.

  • Telecommuting permitted.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. A ratio of base salary and incentive (commission) make up a total. Base salary for this position is $149,000 - 186,000.

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
