Bureau of Naval Personnel SUPERVISORY SEXUAL ASSUALT RESPONSE COORDINATOR in Annapolis, Maryland

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SEXUAL ASSUALT RESPONSE COORDINATOR for the NAVAL ACADEMY. Responsibilities You will serve as a Supervisory Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) responding to and coordinating all reported Sexual Assaults of students, faculty and staff, both civilian and military. You will provide expert advice on trauma-informed practice, cultural competence, and ethical considerations and guidance to address complex cases, ethical dilemmas, and challenging situations. You will manage, assign, and oversee a 24 hour per day, 7 days per week response capability for victims of sexual assault assigned in accordance with policy. You will oversee the quality of information in the Sexual Assault Incident Database to ensure sexual assault report data is handled in accordance with established guidelines, standards, and policies. You will assess, identify, and advocate for adequate staffing, budgetary resources, and technological tools to support the SAPR program. You will develop and collaborate with relevant stakeholders on SAPR public awareness campaigns, represent the SAPR program in community outreach efforts as a subject matter expert, and ensure that outreach efforts align with the program's goals. You will analyze the SAPR program to identify trends and areas for improvement and use that data to generate comprehensive reports on program outcomes, achievements, and challenges for internal and external stakeholders across multiple echelons. You will supervise employees making a full range of independent personnel decisions, task assignment, setting performance expectations, and evaluating/rating employee performance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing planning, implementation, and evaluation of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) activities for an organization; 2) Creating and updating SAPR Standard Operating Procedures; 3) Developing effective working relationships with organizations and individuals to identify, establish, modify and provide expert SAPR guidance and assistance; and 4) Gathering, analyzing, and evaluating sexual assault/harassment information to recommend and present appropriate action. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
