Lead Rebate Billing Specialist

Job Description Summary

Oversee daily operations as outlined by management. Answer questions and resolve problems related to billing operations as the billing expert. Communicate and coordinate timely communication of identified problems to assure proper follow up is completed to expedite claims and ensure proper payment.

Job Description

• Lead Billing Specialists on all billing job functions by providing employee feedback and monitoring daily work flow and results.

• Perform quality oversight for assigned claims, ensuring proper reimbursement.

• Recognize and report to Billing Manager system problems or suspected issues that would result in the interruption of workflow and/or reimbursements.

• Attend weekly meeting and address concerns and achievements within the billing department with management.

• Assist in resolving billing discrepancies with other departmental staff.

• Participate in the interview, selection and hiring of employees as needed. Orient and train new staff.

• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Intermediate level Excel skills.

• Working knowledge of Ten-Key by touch.

• Ability to type average 40+ WPM.

• Must be detail oriented.

• Possesses experience deciphering contract language.

Potential pay for this position ranges from $20.76 - $31.14 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
