Bard College’s low-residencyMBA in Sustainability (https://gps.bard.edu/academics/mba-in-sustainability) program, based in New York City, has an opening for a visiting faculty member to teach a spring semester 2025 course focused on Human Capital Management in the context of building mission-driven organizations. Bard’s MBA program fully integrates sustainability into a business curriculum, with students mastering the business case for sustainability, understanding how to align profit with social and environmental goals. In addition, all courses cultivate the development of anti-racist business leaders. Faculty members teach during intensive weekend residencies held once a month in Manhattan; in addition, they teach an online evening session each week between the monthly residencies. The low-residency format allows flexibility in residential location.
MBA faculty members are expected to have earned a Ph.D., J.D., M.B.A., M.A., or equivalent degree. Successful candidates will have a record of excellence in teaching, and professional experience related to human capital management. Compensation:$12,000 (one course)
This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
