Responsibilities*

Michigan Medicine invites applications for the role of Administrative Director within the Office of Well-being. This position requires a dynamic and resourceful leader dedicated to fostering a culture of well-being, operational optimization, and strategic growth. The individual will be responsible for spearheading the institution's workforce well-being initiatives and aligning operations with Michigan Medicine's vision to excel in healthcare delivery.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Well-being Officer and liaise with Michigan Medicine's leadership to integrate well-being standards across the enterprise.

  • Direct and motivate a team towards excellence, focusing on skill enhancement and peak performance.

  • Design and implement comprehensive well-being initiatives, tracking their effectiveness and holding stakeholders accountable for results.

  • Oversee and manage the well-being program's budget, ensuring financial practices support the overarching objectives of well-being goals.

  • Strengthen well-being culture through process optimization and effective communication.

  • Promote and uphold a work environment that values inclusivity, diversity, and equity, reflecting the best practices in healthcare well-being.

  • Represent the Office of Well-being in pivotal Michigan Medicine committees and in the broader community.

Required Qualifications*

  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, or MPA, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years in a high-level leadership role, preferably within healthcare or related fields.

  • Track record of nurturing team growth and managing performance.

  • Proficiency in managing budgets and financial resources in alignment with strategic goals, budgeting, and financial stewardship.

  • Demonstrated ability to foster a proactive and positive work environment.

  • Commitment to engendering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the organization.

  • Expertise in the principles and trends of organizational well-being.

  • Skilled in strategic planning, consensus-building, change management, and decisive action-taking.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with a track record of effectively conveying goals and ensuring accountability among diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Competence in evidence-based decisions and to navigate complex situational dynamics.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
