We are looking for a Meat Market Janitor who takes pride in their work and ensures the facility meets all cleanliness and hygiene standards.   • FT 30-40 hrs/wk- $18.00 per/hr
  • Must be available Sunday 7:00pm-4:00am and Monday-Saturday 8:00pm-4:00am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to and demonstrates Assets, Inc. core values, mission, code of conduct, and employee expectations in the performance of all aspects of this position.
  2. Provide direct labor in accordance with outlined OSHA safety standards and as required by site management. Including: degreasing meat cutting equipment, meat trays, tubs, bleaching tables tops, passing meat inspection, sanitizing meat room, emptying trash, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and operating a cardboard bailer.
  3. Operate industry standard equipment (scrubbers and extractors).
  4. Actively participate in company meetings and trainings.
  5. Maintain a proactive relationship with customers and coworkers.
  6. Be familiar with and follow all policies set forth by Assets, Inc.
  7. Support team efforts and actively participate in strengthening team structures.
  8. Based on site needs, the Janitor II may be designated to perform coaching duties for other employees. This may include observation, direct and indirect supports, guidance, and on the job training.
  9. Act as a role model in the work environment.
  10. Satisfactorily complete all required training for the position.
  11. May require obtaining security clearance for access to high security buildings.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school education; or six months janitorial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Desired Skills and Abilities

  1. Basic Knowledge of meat market cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing.
  2. Experience in trash removal, dusting, wiping, sweeping and mopping.
  3. Experience using floor cleaning equipment

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth erception, and ability to adjust focus.
