The Shop Foreman is responsible for maximizing billable hours, maintaining quality control on repairs and providing effective communication between technicians, advisors and customers.  

Pay: $25-$35 per hour plus production incentives

Job Duties:

  • Review dispatch schedule regularly:  ensure Service Technicians are producing billable work and adjust the work flow accordingly; monitor and act on daily production reports

  • Support Service Advisors so they can focus on selling and processing repair orders

  • Assist in reviewing repair orders for proper flat rate and ensure all complaints, cause and corrections are clear and complete; confirm proper pictures are taken for all warranty repairs

  • Anticipate, create and oversee vehicle moves for Lot Attendants

  • Coach, mentor, and motivate Service Technicians

  • Use our core values as their operational compass

  • Assist in maintaining appropriate staffing levels and support training needs

  • Perform workmanship and cleanliness inspections with a customer satisfaction mindset on repairs, both during and after work is completed 

  • Be the liaison between the Service Advisor and the assigned Service Technician; contact customers when additional information may be needed on repairs

  • Establish and enforce shop safety and cleanliness

  • Ensure shop vehicles and equipment are maintained

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This position supervises an assigned team of Service Technicians.  Responsibilities include instructing and training in work methods; planning, scheduling and assigning work; checking and approving work; evaluating performance; and recommending disciplinary actions regarding unsatisfactory employees.

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma

  • 3 years proven shop foreman/dispatcher experience

  • Recreational vehicle experience and strong vehicle product knowledge preferred

  • Manufacturing experience preferred

  • Detail oriented and well organized

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in following verbal and written guidelines to perform job functions
