About the Role…
The National Account Manager is responsible for developing and driving sales for Beech-Nut through clear customer focus, effective business planning using a fact-based approach to understand opportunities, strengths and objectives. The primary customer focus for this role will be Northeast Accounts, including but not limited to Hannaford, K-Vat, Demoulas, Price Chopper and Northeast Wholesalers.
About the Team…
Our Sales Team is a dynamic group of thought leaders that focus on internal and external sales strategies. The team is responsible for building strong relationships with our customers, ensuring forecasts and sales plans are reflective of the most up to date information allowing us to keep our customers supplied and shelves full. We will keep our customers supplied with actionable insights to manage our shared business, and managing our customer order processing. The team works diligently to understand what our customers want and need so we can deliver high quality, safe, and nutritious food for babies and toddlers!
About the Work Environment…
This position is fully remote, but reports to our Headquarters in Amsterdam, New York. Our new state of the art facility was built in 2010 and is the world’s first LEED® certified baby food manufacturing facility.
What You’ll Do…
Demonstrate an understanding of the complexities of these customers including merchandising, promotion development, trade and shopper marketing event planning and possess the ability to utilize the appropriate techniques and skills to gain the customer support for identified opportunities.
Build strong customer relationships that result in partnership opportunities which drive sales, market share and profit.
Gain understanding of customer strategies and priorities to tailor Beech-Nut plans to achieve mutually beneficial results.
Create Annual Customer Business Plan recommendations to Beech-Nut Home Office to gain alignment and ensure achievement of customer growth goals in alignment with corporate and customer goals. Sell in and execute these plans to the Customer buyer and adjust plans throughout the year as business conditions dictate.
Develop and execute the process of customer specific trade marketing and promotional plans.
Ability to penetrate the customer at all levels adding value to the customer relationship building credibility for Beech-Nut.
Develop distribution recommendations for customer to ensure optimal mix for sku velocity and new item distribution.
Ability to develop merchandising, pricing and promotion recommendations for customer to drive profitable growth.

What You’ll Need…
Bachelor’s degree required
7+ years of National Customer Management experience in CPG company
Broker management experience required
Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills and presentation skills
Highly organized, self-sufficient and excellent follow through

Pay: The annual base salary range for this remote role is $140,000 – 180,000. This is a salaried exempt position.
