Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Alton, Illinois

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer in ALTON, Illinois. In this role, you will be expected to conduct comprehensive research on complex legal issues linked to class actions and mass torts, prepare and take depositions, and maintain regular contact with clients and witnesses. You will also be tasked with reviewing and analyzing documents, drafting a variety of legal documents, and collaborating with team members for thorough case preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research on novel and intricate legal issues related to class actions and mass torts

• Prepare and execute depositions and sworn statements

• Maintain regular communication with clients and witnesses, primarily over the phone

• Review and analyze critical documents linked to prosecuting claims

• Draft a wide range of legal documents including memoranda of law and affidavits

• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure thorough case preparation

• Utilize case management software and other relevant technology to manage case files and streamline workflows

• Leverage skills in legal research, class action, mass tort, and deposition to enhance case management

• Use legal research databases like Westlaw and document review databases like Relativity for efficient case handling

• Prepare for trial using various tools and resources. Requirements • Applicant must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Attorney or Lawyer

• Should be a Licensed Attorney with experience in Civil Litigation

• Proficiency in Case Management Software is essential

• Demonstrated skills in Document Management and Briefing are required

• Experience in handling Class Action and Mass Tort Litigation

• Proficient in Legal Research with an emphasis on Litigation - Class Action

• Ability to prepare and understand Legal Memoranda

• Experience in conducting Depositions is necessary

• Strong skills in Client Advocacy, Conversations, and Communications

• Must be able to prepare and process Affidavits

• Proficient in Case Management procedures and protocols

• Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Relativity

• Experience in Trial Preparation including the usage of Vis Aids, Models, and Mockups for Trial Prep is essential.
