Position Overview:

We are seeking a Procurement Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for evaluating markets, analyzing pricing, and managing supplier relationships. Your expertise will help us achieve cost savings, improve specifications, and enhance our overall procurement strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Vendor Evaluation: Conduct ongoing market research to identify potential vendors and stay informed about industry trends.

  • Establish connections with vendors to build a robust supplier network.

  • Supplier Sourcing and Selection

  • Evaluate candidates based on capabilities

  • Request and review quotes, keeping serious candidates for further trials.

  • Collaborate with the R&D team on material trials.

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Attend meetings with vendors and document key discussions.

  • Organize trips to merchandising events and handle travel arrangements.

  • Establish beneficial relationships and purchase agreements with suppliers.

  • Data Management and Reporting: Assist with periodic forecasting analysis and review annual needs.

  • Update relevant databases in the ERP system (including cost updates for existing items and new item costs).

  • Participate in standard cost determination.

  • Process Improvement: Help implement Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes.

  • Perform routine administrative tasks and contribute to building tools for departmental improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • 2+ years of experience in procurement within the manufacturing industry.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to analyze and improve processes.

  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivots, v-lookups, and data manipulation).

  • Effective communication across multi-site operations (both within the US and internationally).

  • Attention to detail and excellent multitasking abilities.

  • Experience with ERP systems
