We are looking to hire a Medical Customer Service Representative to join a company in the Healthcare industry. This role is based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you will be primarily tasked with assisting patients in applying for Medical Assistance and other possible hospital state or federal programs, as well as verifying health insurances and working with various stakeholders as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients in applying for Medical Assistance and other possible hospital state or federal programs

• Conduct interviews with patients in a hospital or office setting to complete necessary forms

• Verify health insurances and maintain an accurate record of the same

• Collaborate with patients and/or family members, employers, banks and federal/state offices for additional information as needed

• Handle other duties as assigned, which align with the job function and industry

• Cater to a diverse patient base

• Handle Insurance Billing tasks efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Spanish language is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Ability to understand and explain complex medical information to patients.

• Ability to handle patient queries and complaints effectively and professionally.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
