Aerotek Electrical Maintenance Mechanic in Algona, Washington

Job Description

The maintenance technician is responsible for performing duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment according to established procedures in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying equipment, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, programmable logic controllers, weld aluminum, mild, or stainless steel using Mig or Tig)

  • Performs mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine repairs.

  • Coordinates and completes installation and wiring of manufacturing equipment (pumps, fans, blowers and relay panels, etc.).

  • Prepares, coordinates, and implements preventative maintenance.

  • Detects faulty operations, defective materials, and documents and reports any and all unusual findings to the proper supervision.

  • Responsible for complying to all GMP and safety regulations.

Hard Skills

  • Must be able to read an ohmmeter, ammeter, voltmeter, multimeter

  • Must be capable of learning/understanding GMP's

  • PLC troubleshooting

  • Must be capable of working voltages 24-480

  • Basic computer skills

  • Must have basic tool set

  • Requires knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical and electronic applications acquired through a minimum of three years of experience (education or professional)

  • Cannot be afraid of heights

  • Must be comfortable with reading schematics

  • Ability to lift objects up to 100 lbs, walk/stand for the majority of the work shift, and work at heights up to 30 feet

  • Comfortable performing PM's such as greasing, lubricating and changing bearings

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Algona, Washington.

Work Environment

3rd shift/ 10:30pm - 6:30am (CANDIDATES WILL BE TRAINING ON DAYS, they will graduate to swing then move to nights). Salary: $31.41-$35.23/hr. +$1.00 shift differential. Working in a warm facility, can get very hot during the summer time. Around machinery and production products such as chips, popcorn, and other goods. Facility and machinery is cleaned every Friday. Can be dirty at times since they are dealing with chips and grease. Warehouse environment with requirements to wear Hi-Vis Vests, hand protection, nitrile gloves when handling pallets/wood, PVC gloves when exchanging propane tanks, safety glasses, excessive handling of pallets, exchanging propane tanks, coveralls and/or pant/shirt uniform, welding shield. General cleanliness and hygiene practices include wearing clean garments, handwashing, and maintaining high personal hygiene. Specific clothing requirements include no sandals, open-toed shoes, high heels, sneakers, full-length pants, no skirts or shorts, no loose-fitting clothing, hoods, or hats.
