Job Title: Maintenance Planner
Job Description
Seeking a Maintenance Planner who is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and safety of equipment, systems, and processes.
Responsibilities
Creating schedules: Determining which assets or facilities need to be maintained, when, and how often.
Generating work orders: Ensuring maintenance technicians have the tools and parts they need to complete work.
Maintaining inventory: Keeping track of parts and materials.
Creating manuals: Explaining how to perform certain tasks.
Estimating costs: Calculating the cost of labor and parts for industrial equipment.
Adjusting schedules: Accounting for unexpected emergency work.
Supporting the manager: Assisting and supporting the maintenance manager.
Liaising with operations: Serving as a liaison between maintenance and operations.
Maintaining records: Keeping files and records important for maintenance management.
Coordinating: Working with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors.
Preparing plans: Aligning preventive maintenance plans with the organization's maintenance goals.
Essential Skills
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Proficiency in maintenance documentation.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning or inventory management.
Ability to generate and manage work orders.
Experience in production and schedule planning.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in a frozen croissant plant, is preferred.

Work Environment
The work hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility needed as the facility operates 24/7. No certifications, medicals, or PPE required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexandria, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
