Wellborn Forest Cabinetry Inventory Clerk in Alexander City, Alabama
JOB DESCRIPTION - INVENTORY CLERK
CYCLE COUNTING
Perform weekly Cycle Counts of inventory based upon count schedule
Input counts into spreadsheets
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies/ issues
Provide recommendations on how to eliminate inventory discrepancies
Assist in Monthly Inventory counts
RECEIVING
Check actual receipts vs. packing lists/ POs
Note and report obvious quality issues (packaging damage, etc.)
Report any quantity discrepancies
Input receipts in system
PURCHASING
Create POs for factory supply items as/ if needed
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES
Strong communication skills - both listening and verbal
Knowledge of inventory management systems
Ability to perform multiple tasks.
Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with integrated materials / production systems (MRP, ERP)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to setup, track and document results as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Minimum of 2 years experience in inventory control, purchasing or receiving
Preferred
Knowledge of product and raw material involved i
n cabinet manufacturing
